Coordination on Legislative bills within the Government
The Ministry of Government Legislation is in charge of coordinating legislative affairs within the government in order that a unified government position can be presented to the National Assembly about bills presented by its members.
Monitoring and Reviewing Legislation
We monitor the progress of bills in the National Assembly and provide support to the relevant government agencies as required.
Making Consensus between Authorities
We support and encourage government agencies to reach consensus through voluntary discussion by suggesting alternative opinion where there is a disagreement on a proposed bill.
Operation of Government Legislative Policy Council and Working Committee
In cases where disagreement cannot be resolved despite the efforts of the relevant government agencies, we convene the Government Legislative Policy Council or Working Committee to coordinate the various opinions and make unified governmental opinion.
