Ministry of Government Legislation

The Ministry of Government Legislation, as a government agency specializing in legislation, oversees government legislation, examines laws and regulations, provides statutory interpretation and modification, and supports executive agencies in drafting a bill.

Going forward, the Ministry will provide supports to make laws that are necessary to fulfill the key policy tasks of the government and the national vision of “the Republic of Korea that makes a new leap forward, a nation of co-prosperity.” And we will give every effort to improve the legal system to take care of every citizen and to create “a country where everyone is happy.” We will endeavor to enhance our legislative services to help the people find and understand laws and regulations easily.
