Supervising Legislative Efforts of Government
The Ministry of Government Legislation, as the Central Administration Organization specialized in legislation, supervises and supports the government's legislative activities of each department from the governmental and comprehensive prospective.
We establish and enforce governmental legislation plans and support the government's legislative activities. We supervise the legal administration of government: for example, we ensure that subordinated statues and regulations, such as executive or ministerial ordinances are prepared at the appropriate times, or submit the examined bills and bills passed by the National Assembly to the Cabinet Council. Also we mediate differences of opinions among departments so that unified opinion is proposed at the National Assembly.
Governmental Legislation Planning System
- The Ministry of Government Legislation establishes and enforces the above system, supervising legislation planning of each department every year.
- The Ministry of Government Legislation collectively coordinates priority of legislation, time, and details about the laws that are intended for introduction by each department in a certain year.
Procedures

01The Minister of Government Legislation notifies to the head of each central administrative agency about the guidelines of the legislation plan
(by October 31)

02Head of each central administrative agency establishes legislation plans for each department
(by November 30)

03The Minister of Government Legislation establishes a Governmental legislation plan.
Such is reported to the cabinet council. -
04The plan is announced in the official gazette and notified to the National Assembly.

Legislative Support for Government Projects
In order to make sure the 120 key government projects, which are practical strategies for the policy visions and objectives, are smoothly implemented, we strengthen legislative support and inspection and management system for 492 laws and 288 lower statutes that are required to be legislated or revised.
